Evacuations after fire in apartment in Sydney

At 3.54am four fire engines, a rescue team and one ladder platform were called to the fire in The Esplanade home.
The fire was extinguished a short time later but the blaze caused a large amount of smoke in the building.
Thirty people were evacuated from the block and firefighters on scene said no one was injured treated for smoke inhalation.
Firefighters are investigating the cause of the fire.

Devastating fire in hotel in Sydney

At 3:54am 6 fire engines, a large rescue team and one ladder platfrom were called to the disaster at the hotel.
By the time the firecrews had arrived to the scene half of the building was up in flames with people from the 24th floor and below running out of the building in shock as for the people above the 25th floor it was too late for them to be saved.
The fire was extinguished after approximately 5 grueling hours.
Firefighters claimed for this incident to be the worst fire caused accident of all time in Australian history.
The amount of fatalities is unknown but it is said to be around over 150 people.
